Each game is 7 innings or within the allotted time frame
After 3 1/2 full innings, the game is considered an official game
First game starts at 5:15
Second game starts at 6:15
All games are played at Lukens Park
Games will be played Monday-Thursday. There will be no Friday games
10 players on the field
2 players must be females
A team can play with one female. However each time the second female would be up to bat, it will be an automatic out. The team will only be allowed to play with 9 fielders, one of which has to be a female.
Both females must bat in the first 10 batters
All batters will start with a 1 strike and 1 ball count when up to bat.
All regular season games can end in a tie
Pitchers must pitch with an arch of 5 to 12 feet
The PBC league will supply balls, umpires, bases, and scorebooks for the teams
Homerun Rule – if the ball is hit into the parking lot
Bases are 65 feet apart
Pitching Mound is 50 feet from home plate
Umpire will call balls, strikes, and outs
The 10 run rule will be in affect
The first aid kit and the balls are already on the field prior to each game in the utility box.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED AT LUKENS PARK. THIS IS A TOWNSHIP RULE.
All league participants MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER. If there is a question of a participants' age, the umpire will stop the game and ask for a valid ID. If the participant doesn't have a valid ID on site, an ID must be provided to league management the morning after the game. If a team is caught playing with a player under the age of 18, that team will automatically forfeit the game.
All teams must be a tenant of Workspace Property Management or otherwise authorized by league management.
Teams must have 10 players minimum
All players must wear matching t-shirts or matching jerseys. Jersey must have numbers to identify each player.
If a company has two participating teams, each team must wear different jerseys
Each male team member must use WPT supplied wooden bat.
Each female team member will be able to use any bat of choice.
Every player that participates in the league needs to sign a league waiver
IF A PLAYER IS CAUGHT PLAYING WITHOUT A LEAGUE WAIVER, THEIR TEAM WILL SERVE A ONE GAME SUSPENSION; FORFEITING THE GAME. THAT PLAYER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON
All league payments, rosters, and waivers MUST be received before the start of the season
The league will only accept new waivers until your team's sixth regular season game. After that, we will no longer accept new player waivers from any teams.
Each team will receive a score book once their payment is received.
Each team must fill out the cards in the back on the scorebook at the beginning of each game with the first and last name of each player that plays in the game. These must be submitted to the umpire by the end of the game.
Only players listed on their team’s roster filled out with the league will be permitted to play.
A player will only be allowed to play for one team in the league. If a player is reported as playing for another team other than their rostered team, that game will be forfeited. The player in question will receive a one game suspension for the next game for their rostered team.
*When signing a waiver or the roster cards at the beginning of the game, please use all players’ LEGAL first and last name as to eliminate confusion for league management.
If a player is ejected from a game for verbal abuse of an umpire, they will serve a one game suspension. For two ejections, that player will not be allowed to return for the remainder of their team's season.
Any player ejected for physical contact or threats toward an umpire shall be prohibited from playing in the league PERMANENTLY.
Metal cleats are prohibited. If a player is caught wearing metal cleats, the player will be immediately prohibited from participating in the league for the rest of the season.
Teams must declare before a game if there is a courtesy runner. The player who made the last batted out will be the runner. It is mandatory that a male replaces a male and a female replaces a female. You may have unlimited EH's.
Players must play in at least 4 games to be eligible for the playoffs..
During the playoffs if there is any question of whether a player has played enough games, the game will stop, the umpires will check the records, and the player must provide a photo ID.
If a photo ID can’t be provided on the field, it must be provided to the PBC League Manger at 5 Walnut Grove Drive the next morning by 10 AM.
If the player proves to not have played the 4 necessary and still plays in a playoff game, that team will be kicked out of the playoffs.
A runner cannot leave a base until the ball crosses the plate.
No stealing bases.
For men, a foul ball hit with 2 strikes counts as a strikeout. Women get TWO foul balls with 2 strikes before it counts as a strikeout.
When a female is at bat, no outfield player is allowed to pass the cones.
No infielder will be allowed to leave the infield at this time.
Lineups will be exchanged prior to the start of the game.
When you are protesting a game, you must wait until the end of the game. To do so, please discuss with your game's umpire and they will make the call. If not, it will be handled the next day by league management.
Each team will only be allowed 2 forfeits per season. Please let league management know about ANY scheduling conflicts as soon as the league schedule is released. Management will do its best to accommodate all teams’ scheduling needs. Field time is very hard to come by and we cannot afford to lose field time due to a no-show/last minute forfeit.
After a team’s second forfeit, the team will be prohibited from participating in the league for the rest of the season.
If your team has a scheduled game and doesn't show up for the game, it will be an automatic end to your team's season.
If your team is going to forfeit a game, this must be done before 3:30 on game day.
This is a NO CONTACT league as per the discretion of the league umpires.
The WINNER of the game must update the website with game results the DAY AFTER the game.
If a player is involved in a fight or altercation during the season, regardless of who initiated it, the player will be suspended for the remainder of the season.
Intentional walks will be allowed. However, if you intentionally walk a player, the following player has the option to automatically take first base or swing away.
During playoffs/tournament, the higher seeded team will be the home team.
If any player is ejected from a playoff game, they may not play in their team's next schedule game should they advance in the playoffs.
All playoff games must be played to completion. If the season has to be extended due to weather, the championship will be started at 5:00pm
